As mentioned previously, your Central Hub - your blog or website - is the core element of your online business. Your central hub will convey your research, knowledge, expertise and information you have on your market. It will be the store or shop, where people will come to get valuable information and recommendation. You will need to established yourself as a leader, reliable and trusted source and provide quality content in order to generate profit later on.
Remember: you need to establish trust for people to buy from you and it might take several visits to establish that trust.
Choose a Weblog Platform
Setting up a blog is easy. There are many weblog software to choose from. Before you start and get the best blog platform, you need to remember the following:
- Your blog will be the core element of your business.
- Your blog will need to have some level of functionality such as the ability to:
- connect to social network
- notify search engine when new content is published (ping)
- your blog will be the point of entry to your business so your are looking for flexibility to present it as you want.
- your blogging platform needs to have elements of interactivity and automation
- and finally, you want a blog platform that offers a content management system that is well supported - widely used - and constantly updated.
Make sure that the one you choose gives you the maximum flexibility.
Our preferred one is WordPress since it offers all the elements above mentioned.

If you use WordPress or other platform, it is best to host your blog on your own server.
Hosting your blog on free website service such as WordPress, Blogger ... is not recommended if you are serious about your blogging business. Free hosting is great financialy but be aware that thoses services will be in control of your content. You won't have the ownership and if you deviate from the guidelines, your central hub, your hard work could be deleted anytime.

Register a Domain Name
Once you have selected your blogging platform and hosting options, you are now ready to register a domain name. Registering a domain name is not mandatory but strongly recommended. By registering a domain name you establish yourself and gives more credibility to your business.
Choose a name wisely. Your name should identify your blog, contain some of your keyword (if possible) be simple and easy to remember. Note that the .com is probably the most popular and the most widely used. If .com is not available you may also want to consider a .net. If your business is local your may also use a domain name specific to your county such as .co.uk or .fr ...
In summary, consider the follwoing when choosing a name:
- Choose a specific name that reflect your site
- Easy to rememebr
- For worldwide exposure prefer a .com, but consider other
- Try to avoid hyphen or underscore in your name, but if you want to use it prefer hyphen over underscore

Before you start publishing make sure to observe and know your makrket. Define why you created a blog and what are you going to speak about. Identified your market, know what you are going to sell before promoting your blog and make sure your sales funnel is ready.
